Woman Gets Out of Jury Duty In Order to See Oprah

Your Black World Reports

A woman in Chicago asked a judge to release her from jury duty so she could catch one of the final episodes of the Oprah Winfrey Show.  She had tickets that she didn’t want to waste, and figured that the judge would give her a break.   The case actually involved former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich.

Believe it or not, the judge let the woman out, justifying the decision by the fact that it is Oprah’s last season.  Maybe we should try that excuse ourselves.
